LEEVAN SANTOS

Director / Lead Physiotherapist

Before embarking in a career in Physiotherapy, Lee obtained a Bachelor's degree in Maths & Statistics from Auckland University before realising his calling and went on to gain a Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from AUT and further Post Graduate Study in Sports Physiotherapy from Otago University 

Lee has just recently returned after Leading the physio team with the Tongan Rugby team ('Ikale Tahi) at the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France. This is off the back of a long professional stint with the Hurricanes Rugby team (12 seasons) and Wellington Lions Rugby team (8 seasons) where he was Lead physio for a number years repsectively. During the this time Lee has helped players reach their dreams in making the All Blacks, Maori All Blacks, All Blacks XV, All Blacks Sevens, Super Rugby teams and various other national teams. Lee has worked with a wide range of High Performance Sports teams and athletes through out his career and is passionate about making sure they get back to the things they love doing confidently and safely.

The expertise and knowledge gained throughout his carrer, Lee is driven to get everyone from all walks of life to achiveve their physical goals. Whether it be returning back from injury or surgery to identifying imbalances in movement and setting realistic individual targets for individuals to gain momentum. Whatever your physio needs, Lee and the team from Primal Rehab are dedicated to giving you the best advice and service to get you up and running again.

Outside of work, Lee is a loving husband and father of three children. Lee devotes his time to making memorable moments and seeing the family grow into loving and nuturing individuals with big dreams and goals to pursue.

JOHN KIEU
HAMZA DEAN

Physiotherapist

As a recent physiotherapy graduate, Hamza's approach to care is fueled by a passion for sports and a commitment to helping all patients achieve their health and wellness goals.

 

His background in international U20 rugby and university-level basketball has not only instilled a special interest in sports physiotherapy but also a deep understanding of the challenges faced by athletes and non-athletes alike.  

 

Hamza is eager to apply his professional knowledge in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and exercise prescription, to a diverse patient population.

 

Being dedicated to continuous learning and applying
evidence-based practice to provide effective care his goal is to
support each patient, whether they are returning to competitive sports or simply aiming to improve their daily function and well-being.


In his free time, he  enjoys playing sports and spending time with his family.

Senior Physiotherapist

Born in Auckland, raised in Te Puke and studied in Dunedin. John completed his physiotherapy degree in 2018 in addition to his post graduate certificate in sports physiotherapy in 2022.  Previously worked in Dunedin for a few years of his physio career before deciding to move to Wellington for a change of scenery.


John has experience with a wide range of injuries relating to body from a small finger sprain to post operative rehab involving ACL reconstructions and Achilles ruptures. This experience alongside his passion for physiotherapy, John is able to deliver high quality rehab and therapy from weekend warriors to high level athletes.


When Johns not in the clinic treating clients or out sideline for a rugby game, you can find him at the beach in the summer, trying new foods around Wellington or at his home playing PS5.
